Mission
The mission of the Association is to promote the well-being of communities through culture, sport, and intercultural exchanges, in an inclusive and transnational approach. It aims to create spaces where different cultures can meet, confront each other respectfully, and mutually enrich themselves. Through educational programmes, innovative cultural projects, and sporting initiatives, the international association works towards a better understanding between peoples, while supporting the integration and appreciation of immigrant communities within Belgian society.
What do we do?
The international association is committed to:
- To organise cultural events and festivities that highlight various cultural heritages, both traditional and contemporary, with the aim of strengthening community ties and encouraging intercultural dialogue.
- To develop training and educational programmes, both in Belgium and internationally, to promote the emancipation of individuals through culture, while simultaneously supporting the exchange of skills and expertise between Belgium and the Southern countries (Africa, Asia, Latin America) through technical assistance projects.
- To facilitate the establishment of co-development projects by leveraging the synergies between Belgium and the southern countries, in order to create sustainable and innovative solutions for global and local challenges within areas such as:
- sustainable agriculture
- support for SMEs
- agricultural entrepreneurship
- ICT and social innovation.
- To create strategic partnerships with academic institutions, governments, cultural organisations, businesses, and local communities to promote global cooperation in the field of sustainable development and peace.
- To promote culture as a key to economic, social and human development, by supporting local initiatives that combine creativity, innovation and the preservation of traditions.
- To establish a support programme for artists, creators, and cultural project holders from all communities, to help them realise their projects while also appreciating their cultural particularities.
Through all its actions, Be Ubuntu culture aims to be a pillar of sustainable development, capable of building bridges between peoples, strengthening human solidarity, and promoting peace through mutual understanding. It seeks to be a model for intercultural cooperation, within a global vision of a fairer, more solidaristic, and more peaceful world.
At Be Ubuntu, action, collaboration, and tangible impact are central.
Development is not imposed; we build it together.
